Flags are usually one of the last things booked for a trade show and one of the first things visitors actually see from across the hall. A booth with the right flags reads as a serious exhibitor before anyone's even walked over; one without them can get lost in a row of identical stands. Here's what to plan for, in the order it usually comes up.
Work backwards from the show date
Most flag orders here are printed and ready within 2 to 4 working days once artwork is approved, so booking a week or two ahead of the show gives comfortable room for a design proof and any last-minute changes to booth numbers. If the show is closer than that, say so when you enquire. Rush turnaround is usually possible, it just narrows how much back-and-forth there's time for on the design.
What to have ready before you ask for a quote
- Your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS or high-resolution PDF) if you have one. It prints sharper at large sizes than a logo pulled from a website or a low-res PNG.
- Your brand colours, ideally as HEX or Pantone codes rather than "navy blue". Colour matching is far more accurate with an exact reference.
- The booth's rough dimensions and where the flag needs to stand, so we can suggest a size that fits the space instead of over- or under-sizing it.
- Whether the flag needs to be seen from one direction or walked around. That decides whether single or double-sided printing makes sense.
Matching the flag to the booth
A shell-scheme booth with a counter usually just needs one or two table flags to mark the desk without crowding it. A larger, open floor space benefits more from a conference flag planted near the entrance, tall enough to be read from the aisle, which is exactly what gets people to walk over in the first place. If the stand is outdoors or in an open-air section of the venue, a sail flag holds up better in a breeze than a flat panel does.
Ordering for multiple booths or locations
Franchises and multi-branch businesses exhibiting at more than one location, or returning to the same show each year, don't need to start the design from scratch every time. We keep the approved artwork on file, so a repeat or multi-location order just needs a quantity and any date changes confirmed. There's no minimum order either way, so a single flag for a first-time exhibitor gets the same attention as a bulk order for a franchise network.
